If you would like to be a trader at Whitstable Harbour Village and join the battle against the all pervasive supermarket giants, please download an application form below. We are particular keen to hear from small businesses looking to sell locally produced food, art, goods and products.

There are now 30 self-contained timber fisherman's huts available to hire from one month to an entire 10 month season. Please note that we close the village for a rest during January and February. The huts are fitted with electricity and fresh water is available on the site. If you hire one of our fisherman's huts you have your own micro retail unit ideal for small or strart up businesses. Many of our successful busineses go on to open shops and galleries in local towns. There are now 9 shops in Whitstable that previously traded at the harbour village so it is a great way to try out your new business idea in a friendly and supportive environment.

Over ten thousand people visit the harbour on fine week-ends and there are a number of special events during the year, including the famous Oyster Festival held in July.

The Harbour Village is well established and well known. It is regularly featured in the local press and we have lots of followers and supporters. Howver, please  note that the harbour remains a weather dependent venue and there are simply less shoppers and visitors if the weather is poor.

If you want to apply for a hut just download the booking form and send it to Kentish Trader Litd at the address provided.  If your products meet our entry criteria and there is a hut available, we will get in contact with you.  If we cannot fit you in for any reason we will (of course) return your form with any deposit that you submitted. For reasons that we have never fully understoof we are not permited to sell ice cream- not even Kentish home made dairy ice cream.

We particularly welcome applications from locally based people who make their stuff in the area but anything high quality and interesting will be considered. Sorry, but we don't accept applicatons from big corporations or government sponsored organisations and agencies.
